Classes and training prerequisites for Pom, Stunt & Competition

Pom, Stunt and Competition are specialised classes and do require prerequisite training for some classes. This is to ensure students have the appropriate technical skills required for each class, and can reach their best potential.

 
 
   
 
  Pom and Competition  
 

U10 Competition Class (Pom Pom and Jazz)

   

Students must also be enrolled in age appropriate Jazz and Classical Ballet or Contemporary classes for their technical development. Students may also learn other styles depending on time availability, retention of choreography and technicial ability. This will be (determined during Term 1.

     
 

U13 Competition Class (Pom Pom, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary)

   

Students must also be enrolled in age appropriate Jazz and Classical Ballet or Contemporary classes for their technical development.

     
 

U16 Competition Class

   

Students must also be enrolled in age appropriate Jazz and Classical Ballet or Contemporary classes for their technical development.

     
 

Open Age Pom Pom

   

Students must also be enrolled in an age appropriate Jazz class and depending on skill level may also need to be enrolled in an appropriate age Classical Ballet or Contemporary class for their technical development, this is at coach's discretion.

   

 

 

Open Age Classes (Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary)

   

The prerequisite for students in these classes wishing to compete is regular attendance to the specific individual styled class. Students can attend any Open Age class and will have an opportunity to compete in AASCF Competition if they wish.

 
   
   
Stunt  

** THE AGE OF THE COMPETITOR MUST BE IN THE YEAR OF THE COMPETITION **

 
 

U12 Youth Cheer/Stunt

   

No formal prerequisites, however, we highly recommend students are enrolled in an age appropriate Hip Hop, Contemporary or Jazz class. This is to ensure students have appropriate technical skills.

     
 

U15 Junior Cheer/Stunt: Level 1

   

No formal prerequisites, however, we highly recommend students are enrolled in an age appropriate Hip Hop, Contemporary or Jazz class. This is to ensure students have appropriate technical skills.

     
 

U15 Junior Cheer/Stunt: Level 2

   

No formal prerequisites, however, we highly recommend students are enrolled in an age appropriate Hip Hop, Contemporary or Jazz class. This is to ensure students have appropriate technical skills.

     
 

Senior U19 Cheer/Stunt (Students must be 14+years at the time of Competition)

   

No formal prerequisites, however, we highly recommend students are enrolled in an Open Age Hip Hop, Contemporary or Jazz class. This is to ensure students have appropriate technical skills. Students must be 14+ years at the time of Competition.

     

Students can be selected for Open Age as well as their own age category if they are at technically level required.
